Hour of Code Turkey student event

Dear teachers,

Hour of Code is a global computer science movement reaching tens of millions of students in over 180 countries. As Code.org Turkey and RobinCode, we recommend organizing an Hour of Code event at your school between December 4–10.

Through this event, your students can share the same learning experience with their peers in different countries around the world.

What is Hour of Code?

Hour of Code is a one-hour hands-on introduction to computer science. It helps students discover programming logic and develop problem-solving and algorithmic thinking skills.

How can you participate?

You can access information about the event organization process and teacher resources on the official Hour of Code page. By registering your event on the world map, you can make your school's participation visible.

When is Hour of Code?

The 2017 Computer Science Education Week will take place between December 4–10. However, Hour of Code activities can be implemented throughout the year.

Why computer science?

Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. These studies support students' problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity skills.

By sharing your event photos and videos, you can contribute to your school's and students' work being published on Code.org Turkey channels. The goal is to share selected school projects with the international Code.org community.

You can upload your photos and videos via a file transfer service and send them to hourofcode@robincode.org.

We wish you successful work.
