At the Civil Society Awareness Awards of the Year, awards were presented in 10 main categories, including human rights, culture and arts, education, women, social responsibility, cooperation and humanitarian aid, animal rights, environment, science and technology, and youth and sports.
The “Girls Are Coding” project, developed by RobinCode.org as part of early-age computer science education, won an award in the field of Science and Technology. The award won by RobinCode.org was presented by the Prime Minister of the time, Binali Yıldırım.
The award-winning project was carried out on June 28, 2016, to contribute to the acceleration of digital transformation in our country and the training of future female engineers.
In the program held at the GE Turkey Innovation Center, a total of 100 girls between the ages of 9 and 11, from both advantaged and disadvantaged backgrounds, were introduced to computer science education.
